Founded in 1845, the Royal Agricultural University (RAU) in Cirencester has a long-standing, global reputation for teaching and research.

Today, the RAU is a vibrant, international community. Currently there are more than 1200 students from over 48 different countries studying at the historic campus, set in 25 acres of magnificent grounds in the heart of the British countryside.

The diverse range of degree subjects on offer at the RAU often exceeds expectations. Students can choose from more than 30 different degrees, at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
The Royal Agricultural University is ranked within the top 10% of the UK’s 160 universities and colleges for graduate employability. In fact, 98.2% of undergraduates and 93% of postgraduates were in employment or further study within six months of leaving the RAU, with most securing professional or managerial roles.

Course Overview

This course focuses on the skills necessary to manage an agricultural enterprise or farming business in the present economic climate. It combines periods of teaching with work-based learning, experience being gained both in the lecture room and on the farm.

Entry requirements

Typical offers
A Level: CD (Minimum one A2 pass.)
BTEC: MPP
GCSE: English and Mathematics (Grade C or 4) are required.
International Baccalaureate: 24 points.
Access to HE: 45 credits at level 3, of which 15 must be awarded at Merit or higher. (Pass at Literacy & Numeracy skills at level 2 are accepted in lieu of GCSE English & Mathematics).
