Cheltenham is a historic city in the west of England, close to the World Heritage city of Bath and the famous university city of Oxford. Like Bath, Cheltenham became famous as a spa town in the 18th century, its buildings and streets built in the elegant Regency style. There are award-winning gardens; an impressive range of stylish shops and restaurants, and prestigious festivals of horse racing, music and literature. Dean Close School has a modern campus just outside the city centre, which is close to Premier League Football Stadiums, it has a professional theatre and excellent sports facilities – including football pitches, a swimming pool and sports hall. Students will be part of an old English school house system, where they can earn points to compete against their friends through personal achievement, academic progress or sport skills. The accommodation is of a very high standard with single and twin rooms.
