    Over the past 51 years, WSE has developed a reputation as one of the best schools in the UK. It is still owned by the Housden family, who remain dedicated to ensuring that Wimbledon School of English is a centre for academic excellence and quality service provision.

    The school is committed to helping you achieve your language goals and if you do not progress as quickly as you should, the staff is here to help. Outside the classroom, the school offers free academic consultation, extra tuition and hands on learning support.

    The General English Language Course is the most popular option and it will help you improve in all areas of the English Language: grammar, vocabulary, speaking, listening, pronunciation, reading and writing.

    You can start any Monday but Beginners courses have set start dates.

    Beginners English Language Course

    The standard Beginners English Language Course will help you develop your basic English language skills and to build your confidence when communicating in English.

    Minimum Age: 16
    Lessons Per Week: 24
    Maximum Class Size: 14
    Course Length (Weeks): 1 to 10
    CEFR Course Level: A1

     

    General English Language Course

    The standard General English language course allows you to improve all areas of your English language: grammar, vocabulary, speaking, listening, pronunciation, reading and writing.

    Minimum Age: 16
    Lessons Per Week: 24
    Maximum Class Size: 14
    Course Length (Weeks): 1 to 50
    CEFR Course Level: A2 to C2
