English for Young Lawyers and Law Students is a legal English course delivered by experienced teachers for young lawyers and law students who wish to work in the international legal environment. An Intermediate level of English is required to get the most from this course.

Course content:

  • Accurate use of modern legal terminology and vocabulary;
  • Introduction to the language of Company Law, including mergers and acquisitions;
  • Introduction to the language of Contract Law;
  • Drafting, interpreting and explaining contractual provisions;
  • Key language for effective negotiations, meetings and presentations;
  • Writing modern letters and legal opinions;
  • Contrasting Civil and Common Law systems;

 

It is English with specialised training for Legal English and the International Legal English Certificate (ILEC). 20 lessons General English plus 10 lessons specialised Legal English training per week in mixed nationality groups – maximum class size 6 for the Legal English option.

All trainers have a background in the legal profession.
