Set-up in 1989, FELTOM is Malta’s Federation of English Language Teaching Organisations, bringing together all accredited English language schools under one national association. Its main aim is to advance the quality of English language education to international learners studying in Malta.
We explored this island and found a multitude of modern schools, teaching students from all over the world. We also visited junior summer centres and spoke with the teachers (a lot of whom have moved from the UK) and discovered that the Maltese speak English very well.
The objective of FELTOM is to set, improve, and ensure the maintenance of standards in, and direct the development of, all aspects and services which together constitute the requisites of an English language stay in Malta and to develop cooperation amongst licensed English Language Schools and strengthen the role of Malta as a destination for English language stays of quality.
FELTOM also has an Independent Accreditation Council responsible for implementing the Accreditation scheme.
