Concord College is a premier academic independent international school in England for day and boarding students. We were pleased to visit Concord College and find out more about student life, facilities, meet teachers and speak with academic staff.
The school welcomes students from all over the world and the local area into the vibrant and varied community. Girls and boys between the ages of 13 and 19 enjoy fabulous facilities on the safe 80-acre campus set in the heart of the English countryside.
The school expects the students to achieve the highest standards and to gain entry to top universities in the UK. Concord School also takes care to nurture the individuality of students to develop their self-confidence. They are also encouraged to understand the needs of others and to respect the values of the Concord community.
Among the school’s additional attractions are regular social programmes, hosting charity events, such as Food Fayre, Macmillan Cancer Care coffee mornings and fund raising for UNICEF in the Royal Parks Challenge.
A new £11 million science block is currently under construction to add to the school’s already comprehensive science facilities. When completed in 2018, this ambitious project will make Concord College a leading centre for scientific education, taking its place alongside the school’s excellent English, Drama and Physical Education departments.
We have been impressed with the academic results of this year’s students. The Concord leavers achieved record-breaking A level results and gained entry to top universities in the UK! Over 40% of grades awarded to candidates were A* with a total of 255 A* grades being awarded overall; while 78% of grades awarded were A* or A grade. Concord also broke its own record with 96% of grades either A*, A or B.
