What do you associate Dubai and the UAE with?
Luxurious palaces, the world’s largest yachts, the fastest cars…
The United Arab Emirates is a country that has amazed the entire world community.
Over the past 50 years, the state has been transformed.
In the place of small settlements in the desert, where there is only sun and sand, modern metropolises have appeared. Every new building in the UAE has the prefix “the most”. The world’s tallest tower is the Burj Khalifa (829 m), the world’s largest indoor theme park, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, the fastest roller coaster in the world – Formula Rossa – with a speed of up to 240 km/h, and so on and so forth.
Historically, the UAE is very closely related to the UK, many people here speak English, And every year there are more and more institutions with British education.
For example, the British opened the first school for boys in Sharjah in 1953, and for girls a year later. at a time when they controlled the territory of the UAE and neighbouring countries.
Previously, boys in the Emirates studied in theological schools at mosques, while girls were educated at home.
At that time, the illiteracy rate among the population reached 90%, and now it is only 5%.
Many children from UAE royal families have studied in the UK, most went to the cadet school at the Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst, where Princes William and Harry, as well as members of royal families from different countries, including Bahrain, Qatar, Jordan and others, were trained.
As part of my trip and visits to educational institutions in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, I was interested to learn more about the country, culture, level of education, as well as the specifics of training.
