BWS started teaching German as a foreign language in 1984. Since then thousands of students from all over the world joined the classes and many of them returned a second and sometimes a third time. The schools are in the very centre of the most attractive German cities: Munich, Berlin and Cologne.
Our visit to BWS Munich allowed us to assess the facilities, teaching and administration staff, and sitting in with students, the quality of teaching they receive. We found the teachers to be very attentive to the student’s needs, and the facilities to be of a high standard. Information about social programmes was readily available. The school’s central location made travelling around the historic sites, shops and restaurants very easy.
Thanks to the highly qualified teachers, the welcoming atmosphere and the modern teaching facilities BWS has earned a very good international reputation. In the classrooms, students from all over the world meet to learn German. The teachers as well as the other members of the school office team are always available for advice. A student library and free (wireless) internet access is at the students‘ disposal.
The fully equipped kitchen is a popular hang-out during the breaks and enables an intensive exchange between students and teachers outside lesson times. Here, extra-curricular activities for the evenings and weekends are planned and these often form the beginning of lasting friendships.
