You want to try and test your German in real life? Then book the combination of German course + internship in a Berlin company or institution!
Make more of your studies
Optimize your language stay in Germany and continue your studies after finishing the German course with an internship at a German company! Here you get the chance to apply what you’ve just learned in class first hand. Besides, you gain important work experience that’ll look good on your CV and increase your career opportunities.
We will try to find you an internship position according to your professional expertise and interests. However, this might not always be possible at the particular course location. We also cannot exactly guarantee that you’ll get an internship position at a particular company or in a very specialized field. In this case we suggest an alternative, i.e. an internship in a related professional field. All internships offered will not be paid – some companies, however, will give you some pocket money!
Available fields for internship: Architecture, Arts and Culture, Business and administration, IT and Graphic Design, Law, Marketing, Advertising and PR, NGO, Ecology, Social Work, Politics, Tourism and Event Management, Book Keeping etc.
Requirements
Aside from a decent knowledge of German language you will also need the permission of the Central Employment Office (ZAV) for going on practical training in Germany. As long as you are at least 18 years old and citizen of the EC, of the United States of America, Switzerland, Japan or of Australia, it’s possible to arrange for an internship position that will start after you have finished your German course. For all other nationalities the possibilities for going on internship in Germany are limited. However, in case you are enrolled at a university in your home country as a regular student and as long as the internship will be related to your field of studies, the training will usually be permitted.
