Foundation Courses with NCUK

The NCUK International Foundation Year programme – is a modular 30-week course that provides a pathway to a wide variety of undergraduate degree programmes for international students who have completed their high school education. Once students successfully complete the course they are guaranteed a place at leading NCUK university or are eligible to apply to a university of their choice. The International Foundation Year programme consists of a combination of study skills which includes English for Academic Purposes, Business Studies, Economics and Mathematics that will prepare students for their undergraduate studies. Student assessment is conducted through a combination of coursework, an end-of-semester test, and a final examination. This programme is accredited in Malta at an MQF Level 4, which means that this qualification is referenced to the EQF -European Qualifications Framework level, so it is recognised throughout all European countries.

What is the IFY?

This is one year programme to prepare for undergraduate degree programmes specialised focus on UK learning and preparation for degree level study. This programmes includes English for Academic Purposes (EAP). Quality assurance overseen by the NCUK Universities.

Where Next?

All students who achieve a minimum result of CCC and EAP C are guaranteed a place at an NCUK University. Progression is not restricted to the NCUK universities. IFY students have gained places at the University of Cambridge, University of Edinburgh and the University of Warwick.
